Words, words, words - have you read Michele Morin’s newest blog? https://michelemorin.wordpress.com/2019/06/13/gift-of-language-god-who-speaks/meemahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09104303592278897991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044571629293488418.post-90923739771432968932019-06-12T19:29:02.165-04:002019-06-12T19:29:02.165-04:00What comes to mind is that quote attributed to Ado...What comes to mind is that quote attributed to Adolf Hitler --
“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”

Did you ever hear this funny story? I think it also applies :D

In the beginning was the plan.
And then came the Assumptions.
And the Assumptions were without form.
And the Plan was without substance.
And darkness was upon the face of the Workers.
And they spoke among themselves, saying,
"It is a crock of sh**, and it stinketh."
And the Workers went unto their Supervisors and said,
"It is a pail of dung, and none may abide the odor thereof."
And the Supervisors went unto their Managers, saying,
"It is a container of excrement, and it is very strong,
such that none may abide by it."
And the Managers went unto their Directors, saying,
"It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide its strength."
And the Directors spoke amongst themselves, saying one to another,
"It contains that which aids plant growth, and it is very strong."
And the Directors then went unto the Vice-Presidents, saying unto them,
"It promotes growth, and it is very powerful."
And the Vice-Presidents went unto the President, saying unto him,
"This new plan will actively promote the growth and vigor
of the company, with powerful effects."
And the President looked upon the Plan, and saw that it was good.
And the Plan became Policy.

As you pointed out, too many people donate to 'causes' so that they can feel good about themselves. Like they did their part to save the world. They seem to believe that if they donated with good intentions, it doesn't really matter where the money truly ends up or who is actually benefiting.

Think? Study? Investigate? Curmudgeon indeed! Then we mounted a mason bee house. It was quite rewarding to find, in just a matter of weeks, that there were new residents.

So, I am complete agreement - let me stand over here with you so I can be in good company. :-) meemahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09104303592278897991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044571629293488418.post-54530156345883553482019-06-02T06:47:36.421-04:002019-06-02T06:47:36.421-04:00We raised bees for a while here on the hill, and t...We raised bees for a while here on the hill, and they are amazing creatures.
